What RefreshRadar does

RefreshRadar connects to the Power BI you authorize and monitors dataset refreshes: it alerts you when a refresh fails, names the likely root cause with a suggested fix, consolidates status across your workspaces and connected tenants, and keeps refresh history. It is a monitoring aid. It does not replace your own operational controls, and it can only report what Power BI's APIs expose.

Your account and eligibility

You sign in with a Microsoft account and must be able to lawfully connect the Power BI workspaces you add. You are responsible for activity under your account, for keeping your sign-in secure, for having the authority to connect the tenants and workspaces you connect, and for the accuracy of the alert recipients you configure. RefreshRadar is a business tool intended for users aged 16 or older.

Your Power BI connection

To monitor your refreshes, a tenant administrator grants our application registration the Contributor role on the workspaces you choose. RefreshRadar's behavior on that connection is read-only: every Power BI request we build is a GET; we never trigger, edit, or delete anything. Contributor is the lowest role Microsoft allows for reading refresh history (a Viewer receives an HTTP 403); this is a Microsoft limitation, not a choice of ours, and our Security page at /security covers the Contributor-role reality. You can disconnect a tenant at any time, which stops all access to it.

Plans, billing, and renewal

RefreshRadar offers a Free plan and paid plans (Solo and Team). The billing metric is the connected tenant: a second connected tenant moves an account to the Team plan, which is a base fee plus a per-connected-tenant fee up to a per-account cap. Current prices are shown on our pricing page at /#pricing. Founding-user pricing, once started, stays fixed for as long as your subscription remains active.

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle (annual includes two months free) and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are exclusive of any taxes we're required to collect. We may change prices for future billing periods with advance notice; your locked founding pricing is honored as described above.

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and, after a grace period, downgrade your account to the Free plan or pause paid features until payment succeeds.

Cancellation and refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again after that. We don't provide refunds for partial billing periods. If something went wrong on our side, email hello@refreshradar.com and we'll make it right.

Free plan

The Free plan alerts you when a refresh hard-fails and is limited (currently one connected tenant, one workspace, up to five datasets, and up to one poll per day). It's provided at no charge and we may change its limits or availability over time. Paid capabilities (such as root-cause narratives, durable history beyond 7 days, missing-refresh detection, and webhook alerts) require a paid plan.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse RefreshRadar: no unlawful use, no attempting to breach or probe our security or account isolation, no accessing data you're not authorized to, no interfering with or overloading the service, and no reselling or white-labeling except where a plan expressly offers it. We may suspend access to stop active harm or a violation of these terms.

Your data

You keep all rights to your data. Our handling of the Power BI refresh metadata you connect is limited to providing the service, as described in our Privacy Policy at /privacy and, for business customers, a Data Processing Addendum available on request. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and use that data to run RefreshRadar for you.

Availability and service targets

We work to keep RefreshRadar available and to dispatch alerts quickly. Our Security page describes an operational target of alerting within 60 minutes of a failure becoming visible in Power BI's native history on paid plans. That target is a description of how the system is designed to behave, not a contractual service-level guarantee, and we don't promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. RefreshRadar depends on Microsoft's APIs and cannot guarantee it will detect every failure.

Disclaimers

RefreshRadar is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for your own backups, monitoring, and operational decisions; RefreshRadar is one signal, not a guarantee.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RefreshRadar will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) RefreshRadar. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RefreshRadar harmless from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your connection of any tenant or workspace you were not authorized to connect, or your misuse of RefreshRadar.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using RefreshRadar and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or its users. On termination, your data is deleted according to the timeline in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date and give reasonable notice. Continuing to use RefreshRadar after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them, including as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of Microsoft, our hosting providers, or other upstream services. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service, and our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there. Before starting a formal dispute, please email hello@refreshradar.com so we can try to resolve it directly.
